Interaction between adaptive and organ resident cells

WP 8 – ‘Interaction between adaptive and organ resident cells’ will study connective tissue cells invading cartilage in joints of RA patients and their influence on the prevention of cell death of RA-associated inflammatory cells. The mechanisms on how these immune cells become resident in healthy organs, such as the gut, as well at sites of inflammation, will also be elucidated to further the understanding of the disturbed and chronically active immune reactions underlying RA.
